The development trends of the gear industry.

According to the "China Gear Industry Production and Sales Demand Forecast and Transformation Upgrade Analysis Report", the gear transmission industry in China experienced rapid development during the "11th Five-Year Plan" period. From 2005 to 2010, the total industrial output value of the Chinese gear industry increased year by year, with a year-on-year growth rate of over 20%. In 2010, the total industrial output value of the entire gear industry reached 94.635 billion yuan, and the market demand for gears exceeded 140 billion yuan, ranking second in the world. In terms of scale, sales, and other factors, the gear industry has become a "leading" industry in the field of general mechanical components in China. China has become a veritable world power in gear manufacturing. By the end of 2011, there were 2,319 manufacturing enterprises in China for bearings, gears, transmission, and drive components, with a total industry asset of 248.316 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.59%. In 2011, the manufacturing enterprises above designated size for bearings, gears, transmission, and drive components achieved main business income of 314.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.00%; and realized a total profit of 23.04 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.08%.
